OVERVIEW OF POKER MENTEUR

Poker Menteur is a bluffing, poker card game for 2 to 8 players. The object of the game is to not be the loser.

Players will bluff about their poker hands and being caught results in penalty points.  The first player to score enough penalty points is the loser. The number of penalty points needed to lose is set before the game begins.

SETUP

The first dealer will be random. The dealer will shuffle the deck and deal a hand of 5 cards to the player to their left and only to the player to their left.

Between rounds of play, the deck is always shuffled and a new hand is dealt to the previous round’s loser. The dealer becomes the player to the losers right. 

Card Rankings and Calls 안전토토사이트

Cards are ranked traditionally. Ace (high), King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2 (low). Two jokers are used as wild cards. These cards can be of any suit and rank.

This game uses traditional poker hands and their rankings. The only difference is a player can make an unspecified call like “2 pair” as an example. These are the lowest-ranked call of their type. Making a call of even two 2s is higher ranked than an unspecified call.

Since there are also two jokers this makes 5 of a kind a possibility this call ranks the highest, even higher than a royal flush.

GAMEPLAY

Once the first player is dealt the hand, they must make a call based on the cards in their hand. They do not have to be telling the truth. Play proceeds to the player to their left who now has two options. They may either accept the call as true or challenge the call.
